Brothers

Jake is coming around with his brother. I've even caught him a few times talking to him in the car in the rear view mirror! So sweet ( : This photo was taken right before Jake devoured his chicken quesadilla, rice, black beans and guacamole (by the spoonfuls) complements of Chipotle. This kid can EAT!

Time sure is flying. We have been busy with our new little addition, as well as getting our house on the market. We have officially lost our minds! We bought a lot about 15 minutes (with traffic) from Greg's office and we couldn't be more excited about being "in Austin".
Now for some kiddo updates. Olivia is enjoying school and dance. She is practicing her dances for her big recital in May and we cannot wait! We even have two new costumes to wear for the big show! She continues her love of reading books and is so close to reading on her own. She can sound out most words with a little help. We think in a short time she will be reading all on her own.
Jake is doing great. He mainly just likes cars and trucks. He loves his big sissy and is slowly warming up to his baby brother. We are finally to a point where we can sit down with him and read a book. He actually brings us books to read now, which is great progress. He is just very busy!
Rhett is such a good baby. He is currently sleeping 7-8 hours at night (yay!) and is just very happy and goes with the flow. We are able to pack up the whole family and run around on the weekends and he just goes. This had come in handy when we have to be out of the house to show it.

Rhett Hays

Here are a few pictures of baby Rhett. He has been such a great baby thus far! Olivia loves her new baby brother that she affectionately named "Chippy". She tells everyone that is his name. (So convincing she is!)
Jake is not really thrilled with the baby. When asked if he can give the baby a hug or kiss he literally looks the other way. I guess it is better that he ignore the baby rather than try to be mean to him?
Rhett is by far the runt of the group. He weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 21 inches long. Very close in stats to Olivia. We learned that he has reflux when he dropped to 7 pounds after 3 days. He is gaining weight again with the help of some medicine, but he ranked in the 25th percentile for both height and weight...much different that Jake and Olivia who were and continue to be at the top of the charts. It will be interesting to see how he grows in comparison. He looks almost identical to Olivia when she was a baby.

Time Flies

I cannot believe that it has been so long since I have updated so I am going to do a quick recap of the past several months. You see, I keep this blog for two reasons. One, to show family and friends pictures and share stories of the kiddos and two, as a digital scrapbook for me to look back on. Since my last post, Greg has changed jobs, I had baby #3, Olivia turned 4, started dance for the fall and we took a weekend getaway trip to San Antonio. I'll post a few (okay many) cute pictures from the last few months to catch up so that I have something to look back on! Here goes...picture overload!
