They Do!

On Friday of our whirlwind trip, we headed about 2 hours north of San Fran to Ukiah for my cousin Megans wedding. On our way, we stopped in Healdsburg to do a little shopping and eat lunch. I wish we would have been able to spend more time shopping here, or better yet wine tasting! (This sort of thing is typically frowned upon when you are with child and traveling with your 2 year old.)

We went to the rehersal dinner on Friday night, and Saturday was the wedding. The wedding took place outside at a winery, and the weather was absolutely perfect. A beautiful cerimony, followed by a beautiful (and fun!) reception. I appologize in advance for the plethora of pictures.

A Few San Francisco Treats

We covered a lot of ground considering we were only in San Francisco for two days. After Alcatraz, we made sure to visit the Sea Lions at the Pier, get some yummy seafood at Fishermans Wharf, and the best ice cream at Ghirardelli. We didn't get to ride a cable car this trip, or see the painted lady houses, but we will just have to see them on the next visit ( : Oh and I didn't get my In and Out burger because the hubs decided, at that very moment, that he wanted to eat healthier. (But we are on VACATION!)

Headed to San Francisco

We left Seattle for San Francisco and we didn't skip a beat. We got to our hotel late Wednesday afternoon and were greeted by "Nana" and "Papa". We relaxed a bit in our room before we headed to my cousins apartment for dinner. What a beautiful neighborhood that we stayed in! We were in Pacific Heights, close to the touristy things, but far enough away so that it was still quiet and relaxing.

The next day we got up early and headed to Alcatraz. We took the audio tour (well Liv borrowed mine). It was neat to see and we were glad we did-despite a few tears from a certain someone. (really the only time the whole trip that she got upset.) Here are a few pictures we took along the way. It was creepy to be in the hallways of the prison while hearing the stories about the prison guards/ prisoners, etc.

BOY! I still have so many pictures to upload from our trip (I'm slowly working on them all) but had to break from the picture posting to share our exciting news! Greg and I both were certain that we were having another girl. I think Greg had me so convinced that I was shocked when they said boy! It's still sinking in, but we are thrilled. Now back to shopping online for boy clothes....I mean....( :

Seattle Trip

After the Husky game, we headed north to a sleepy little town in the mountains called Concrete. We got to spend time with Greg's mom and grandma and relax. Olivia loved playing with Grandma's puppy, Diego. She kept saying, "Here boy" or "Come back". It was great. Sunday was a family reunion, where we got to see Greg's sister and some extended family. Despite the rain, we had a great time.

Every time we go to visit Seattle, we try to see several different things, but the one thing I have always wanted to check out is Leavenworth. It is a small German town about two hours east of Seattle, which is why we had yet to visit. We decided to make the trek this trip, a one way drive time of almost 4 hours! We shopped, had a yummy dinner, then spent the night to try to break up the drive for Olivia. I am so glad we got to go see what Leavenworth was all about!

Go Huskies?

What a sad day to be a part of Husky Nation. We started off our vacay to Seattle with the UW vs. Nebraska game at Husky Stadium. It was Olivias first football game and she did great. She clapped everytime anyone else clapped, Husky or not. Unfortunately the game took an unfortunate (sharp) turn in the first quarter, and the Cornhuskers were dominating. I must say that the fans from Nebraska were some of the nicest people ever. (Way to add salt to the wounds.) Regardless of the final score (which was brutal), we had fun, the weather was perfect and I was able to get a few pictures from my camera. I guess I would call that a success.
