Jake just had his 15 month check up and he is growing like a weed. He now weighs 27 lbs and is 33" tall. This puts him in the 95 percentile for both. He giggled while the doctor looked in his eyes and ears and checked him over. He is super ticklish but has the cutest little giggle.
Olivia is doing well. She finished school and will start swim lessons next week, and then her dance class soon to follow. We are enjoying the down time for the remainder of the week, which is nice because I am feeling pretty crummy. We just found out we are having baby #3! It's really early...I am due the first part of January. I was so lucky with both Liv and Jake to have such easy pregnancies, I guess I am paying for it with this one. Hopefully this won't last too long....it is not fun!
Jake and Olivia with the big news!

It Was Time!
Greg had been with Lennar for over ten years, but recently they made some changes and did some things that he didn't believe were ethical (ie: removing his car allowance without so much as mentioning it) so he decided it was time to move on. He has been working for another homebuilder for a few weeks now, and although he is still really busy, I can tell his whole attitude has changed. Ironically, (or maybe not so ironic) it is the same homebuilder that my sister works for. In between the completion of Lennar and the start of Brohn Homes, he took a day or two off to hang out with us! We visited the Children's Museum in New Braunfels (among a few other outings) and we all hand a lot of fun.

My Tiny Dancer
Today I bought my big girl her first pair of ballet slippers and tap shoes. Here she is tickled pink with the noise that her tap shoes make. A few pictures of Jakey Jake too...he is getting to be TROUBLE! He knows that he isn't supposed to climb on our ottoman, but he looks at us, smiles, then does it anyway. Then he stands up on it, in front of our big window...I can already see him going head first through that window if we aren't careful!

Hanging Out...In Our New House!
What a crazy busy and exciting couple of weeks we have had. We are moved and mostly settled into our new house and we love it. We finished going through all of the boxes (no easy feat) and are getting to do some decorating (which Greg just loves!) The kids have been able to ride bikes and play outside just about every day...a nice change of pace from apartment living. We haven't had cable or internet for the last three weeks, but it was such a nice change of pace. After I got over the initial shock of being disconnected Greg and I both said how great it was. Our grass is going to be installed today, so I see much more time spent outside in our future!
One funny story to share, yesterday we were shopping at Ikea, and both kiddos were tired after a busy weekend. Olivia kept asking me to carry her (since Greg was carrying Jake.) I told her no that she was too big, to which she replied, "Moooooommmm...I neeeeeed you to carrrrrrrry me. I'm going to touch EVERYTHING! I'm going to touch breakable stuff." Greg and I were DYING!
Here are just a few pictures of the kids I took the other day. Once I get everything set up with the house, I am going to work on two things that I love but that I have not let myself take any time to do-photography and scrap booking. I want to work on my picture taking abilities, and with so many great tutorials, and two cute subjects I figure no time like the present. I'm sure I will get to posting some pictures soon...but for now here some that I just happened to capture.

Kite Festival
One of the many reasons we love Austin so much is that there is always something to do. This weekend was the Zilker Park Kite Festival. It was our first year to go, and it was a lot of fun! The kids were able to make a kite and fly it with thousands of others who were flying their kites (we only got tangled twice.) The weather was absolutely beautiful; High 70's and windy (hence the kite tangles.) We sampled some of Austin's famed "trailer food" and Liv got to check out the bounce houses. All in all a very sucessful outing.
