It's HERE!

I had been waiting, somewhat patiently for three weeks for my camera to get here. I got a call saying she (the camera) was on her way and that I had to be here to sign for it. Gladly, Olivia and I hung out at home and I swear I was practically pacing in front of the window for the Fedex truck. Ridiculous, I know. It was like Christmas. The unfortunate thing is that my daughter is in a state of total clumsy right now. (No idea where this comes from, MUST be Greg.) No it's not so unfortunate that she is a klutz like her mama, well it is, but it is the damage that she does when she falls that's unfortunate. When I finally get my new camera that I have been waiting for for weeks and my sweet pea subject of choice has a black eye. Poor baby. In all seriousness, my sweet Liv landed just so onto a wooden block and has had a black eye for days. I have been hesitant to leave the house for fear of glares from passer bys. The good news is that the eye is almost back to normal, no major damage (just the slight emotional trauma to Liv and mama immediately following) and I was able to get some cute shots with my new camera...minus the black eye.
Sweet Pea and the shaggy bangs (still refuses anything in her hair)

sweet smiles "glug glug glug" (the noise she makes when pretending to drink from a cup)
Working hard...deep in thought (and a glimpse of the black eye...darn!)

Orange Peel Chicken Recipe

Usually, I get really excited to try one of these "copycat" recipes only to be disappointed. This recipe is actually pretty darn close to my favorite entree at PF Changs. It has quite a few steps/ ingredients, but I think its definitely worth the time and effort! I usually serve this with broccoli and a side of rice and it is always a hit!

Funny Girl

Two cute pictures I snapped today while Olivia was checking her email (from my phone camera...so not the greatest quality). She continues to keep us entertained...

At Church this weekend, we opted for the "cry room" so that both of us could listen to the service without having to get up and exit with our Chatty Cathy. Olivia enjoyed sharing all of her books with the other kids (and I had plenty with me to keep her entertained). Then right before we were about to leave, she waved at the family behind us, and then blew them a kiss...what a mess!

Also this weekend, we walked to one of the neighborhood parks, and played with two boys who looked to be about Olivias age. Later, we found out that they were 20 months, and 26 months, much older than my 16 month old Liv, but the same size or SMALLER! Yikes. She is also getting to be quite the dare devil....she particularly likes to slide down head first (oh boy! I'm afraid I see stiches and broken bones in my future).

Baptism

We had Olivia baptized this past weekend. It was a really great service and celebration for us all. After church, we came back to our house, changed into comfy clothes and enjoyed some delicious BBQ from our favorite restaurant...the Salt Lick.
My camera is in the process of being replaced (it takes such blurry pictures, even when the photog is completely still not to mention the time delay is ridiculous!) so the pictures aren't the clearest. Lindsay and Blair got some great shots, which makes me all the more mad at my camera! I am hoping that Mom's camera took some better quality pics, which I hope to upload soon...that is once she figures out how to send them to me ( : Love you mom!

Reading In The Tub

You probably think that I am going to share some pictures of Liv Bug in the bath reading, right? Well, not exactly. A few days ago I was upstairs checking email and Olivia was playing in her room. She was quiet just playing with her toys, then she started getting really chatty. I laughed because she sounded so cute, but when I turned around, I couldn't see her. I tip toed into her room, to find her in her closet, sitting in her infant tub as if it were a really comfy chair she was curled up in, reading her book. I snuck downstairs, giggling, to get my camera.
